I just completed 20 drawings that were based on clever packaging for beef jerky. The jerky is marketed for people who are hard to buy gifts for. They named the jerky after mystical beasts and humanoids. Some were just beef, but others were exotic meats: bison, ostrich, alligator etc.
I decided a series needed to be created from the names, and thus Mystical Beasts and Humanoids drawing series was born.
Mystical Beasts: Humanoids:
Kraken Centaur
Pegasus Minotaur
Chupacabra Yeti
Unicorn Ogre
Phoenix Bigfoot
Chimera Leprechaun
Loch Ness Monster Werewolf
Griffin Elf
Dragon Mermaid
Basilsk Vampire
MYSTICAL BEASTS
Last year I started on a series based on explorers or invaders depending on your point of view.
I wanted to do something that I had not seen before, so I created concert posters for their exploratory campaigns aka 'tours'.
Here is a list of the 'tours':
Leif Erikson- I Was First Tour- 981-995
Marco Polo- Silk Road Tour- 1271-1295
Columbus- New World Tour- 1492
Ponce de Leon- Fountain of Youth Tour- 1513

Both Society6 and RedBubble have sales going on for the holidays.
For pieces from my 'Black and Blue' period, check out the Society6 shop:
Since Society6 now wants artists to choose a plan. I chose the plan that allows for 10 designs and decided to put a few of my pieces from my Black and Blue period on the site:

I had a rude awakening the other day w/ Society6.
It led me to look for other pay for print websites for artists. I stumbled upon RedBubble. I created an account with them.
I will be moving my Society6 shop to RedBubble in the upcoming weeks. Right now only my Costa Rica images and my Milagros Beer Label series are available on RedBubble.

I will keep the Society6 shop, but only for my 'black and blue period' pieces. They currently are not on Society6, but they will be before the month is over.
