PRESS RELEASE

ANGRY GERMAN OONTZ OONTZ HALLOWEEN FEST
FRIDAY; OCTOBER 25-2013

KOROVA LIVE MUSIC VENUE: 107 EAST MARTIN

COVER: $5 Adults, $10 (under 21)

After an 8 month absence from the local music scene; Frank Jakobs aka DJ Hans 242 returns with a Halloween version of his “Angry German Oontz Oontz Fest

In the nearly 8 years of putting on live music and DJ parties; the Oontz Fest concept has taken on a life of its own. Marrying edgy yet danceable local and regional live music acts with DJ Hans 242’s unique Dance mixes where you’re as likely to hear your favorite 80’s and Industrial as you are to hear some Dean Martin!

The Oontz Fest Halloween edition concept also includes DJ Hans 242’s troupe of “Angry German Go-Go dancers” a “spooky Art Show” Body Painting, Horror movies on Korova’s big screen, Halloween Prom Pictures as well as a Costume Contest.

The 3 live music acts on the bill represent 3 very different ends of the musical spectrum all of whom have performed to a great deal of acclaim around the state in 2013.

Razor Doves is a three piece group of seasoned San Antonio musicians, specializing in energetic, original Texas rock and alternative music. They fuse a super-tight rhythm section with melodic guitar and vocal expressions. Catch them live. You won't be disappointed.

Dawn of the Phoenix is an electro-Pop Trio whose “Bowie-esque” sound along with a penchant for showmanship has met with rave reviews from Music fans in the state. The band led by former Emily’s Gone Mad front-man John Brown formed in late 2012 and seems to up the ante each time they perform. Expect to dance!

Souless Affection is here for one purpose; to be a voice for those that have none, or had it taken away. The tight 5 piece unit that has been described as sounding like “Nine Inch Nails in a bad mood” has played to enthusiastic crowds around the state throughout 2013. Their Brutal Live Performances are a perfect fit for the Oontz Oontz Crowd; especially on Halloween.
